Fundraising - CES Case Competition

Interim Area Coordinator - Victoria

Following the resignation of Brad Gerhart from the CESBC provincial executive, this position is open on an interim basis. At the CESBC Annual General Meeting (Fall 2010) this position will be voted upon for a two-year term. In many ways this position is self-directed. Members of the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) are provide support and guidance as needed. Interested CESBC members have an opportunity to shape future events and decisions with the CESBC.

Time Commitment:

An average of 5 hours / month

Job Description:

As per the constitution…

PEC shall appoint, from time to time, Area Coordinators who will plan, organize and facilitate Chapter activities, such as events, seminars and workshops, as approved by the provincial executive.

The responsibility of Area Coordinators shall consist of:

  1. submitting an activity plan to PEC
  2. upon approval of the activity plan by PEC: selecting speakers, facilitators and/or trainers
  3. arranging for location and catering
  4. mailing invitations and information
  5. maintaining mailing lists
  6. maintaining a list of potential speakers, facilitators and trainers
  7. collecting fees
  8. transmitting collected fees (where income exceeds expenses), invoices, and statements of revenues and expenses to the Treasurer
  9. reporting to PEC on the proceedings of activities coordinated by the Area Coordinator
